Kleine Frage: auf dem Furkapass gibt es eine “Gratschliecht” die immer wieder als Gratschlucht bezeichnet wird, obwohl es sich um einen steilen, steinigen Grashang handelt. Existiert auf Wallisertitsch ein Ausdruck “Schliecht” und was bedeutet er? Vielen Dank für die Erleuchtung.

I enjoyed both miniseries. But I must admit that I found the Molly/Roger romance in “WIVES AND DAUGHTERS” rather disappointing.

I loved “NORTH AND SOUTH”. And I thought that both Daniela Denby-Ashe and Richard Armitage were superb.

I liked “WIVES AND DAUGHTERS” a lot. It had a great number of interesting characters. However, I thought that the romance between Molly Gibson and Roger Hamley was poorly handled. It seemed rush. And the two characters seemed a bit too ideal for my tastes.

I love this book, so was looking forward to the movie alot. And Peter Firth is tremendous as Mr. Tilney. But I agree with the reviewer about Katharine Schlesinger. Who cast her in this?! This woman simply has no acting abilities. Nevertheless, the story is delightful, and Peter Firth is a perfect Mr. Tilney.
